The band's fourth album, The Fall, was released on December 25, 2010 as a surprise gift for paying fan club members, then on April 18, 2011 as an official release. This is the first time the album has been released on vinyl in North America. 

The studio album was recorded during the North American leg of the Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour.  The album features collaborators Bobby Womack and Paul Simonon of The Clash.
