Fra Lippo Lippi, the Norwegian duo who released six studio albums between 1981 and 1992 (including Songs and Light And Shade on Virgin Records), remain beloved for their elegant, melancholic pop.

The Norwegian synthpop band went from post-punk / goth origins to a more sophisticated style that saw them produced by Walter Becker and scoring worldwide hits with the likes of Shouldn’t Have To Be Like That. Former member Rune Kristoffersen founded the revered label Rune Grammofon, on which this, their first compilation to appear on vinyl, is released.
