Nazareth Loud 'N' Proud on 180g Import LP
 
With their 1974 album Loud 'n' Proud, their fourth overall, the Scottish hard rock group Nazareth turned up the heat even further on the heavy metal sound that was unveiled on 1973's Razamanaz.

Once again employing the production skills of Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover, the 8-song set is awash in pulsating drums and distorted guitars and features an ambitious mix of originals like the unrelenting opener "Go Down Fighting" and the ballad "Child In The Sun," to go along with definitive covers of material from Joni Mitchell ("This Flight Tonight"), Bob Dylan ("The Ballad Of Hollis Brown") and Little Feat ("Teenage Nervous Breakdown").

More than anything, Loud 'N' Proud, was a musical mission statement that would come to commercial fruition on their 1975 breakthrough Hair of the Dog. 180g vinyl pressing from Music On Vinyl.
